Julie and Kevin – The Maples Wedding

August 8, 2019

Fact. Bears eat beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica…

Also Fact.. Julie and Kevin tied the knot at The Maples on June 29, 2019. I was so lucky to have been chosen to capture such a fun and amazing couple as they start their new lives together.

The Maples in Woodland is a fabulous venue, especially because the bride and groom are able to get prepped on site, which makes for great photos and ease of transition. During this fun time, Julie and Kevin decided to share some gifts with each other, and can I say, I’m a bit jelly! They swapped SF Giant tickets and Nintendo Switches! One for later and one to play on their plane flight to Hawaii for their honeymoon!

Juile would peek out the window to watch as her friends and family started to gather to witness their big day! As the ceremony started, you could see Kevin’s whole body change. You could just sense his excitement to see his bride for the first time as she walked down the isle in her gorgeous dress.

Now I love personal vows, they’re always so sweet, but the best was Julie and Kevin’s as they both basically told the same story of how they met and their recollection of that fateful day! Lots of laughs and tons of love.

After family photos and some amazing shots with my amazing second shooter Christina, we settled into a super fun evening! From personalized announcements for each of the wedding party, to a competition to name the best drink, it was nothing but laughs and fun the rest of the night.
