DISSOLVE
With a love story straight from Hollywood, Kaitlin and Adam said their I do’s inside the historic St. Teresa Avila chuRch nestled atop the hills of Bodega Bay. Famous for being the back drop of Alfred Hitchock’s ‘The Birds’ movie, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect for these two amazing people.
As the day progressed it was time to move on over to the church. I have to be honest here…. I wasn’t sure where they were getting married, I knew it was a church, and I knew that I could depend on google maps to get me there. However, when I pulled up to St. Teresa Avila chuch, my jaw litterally dropped. It was the famous church and home from the horror classic “The Birds”, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. I am a huge horror fan (fun fact) and it made me a little (ok a lot) star struck.
But back to the wedding currently in progress… Friends and family filtered into the gorgeously ornately decorated church. Once everyone was settled, the big moment was here!
After they exchanged their I do’s and shared their first kiss as a married couple, it was time to celebrate! But first…some epic photos outside the church and iconic homestead!
Now that I had all my nerdy photo ideas out of the way, we headed over to celebrate this amazing day! Located back in Occidental, the historic Union Hotel set the stage for an epic party. From fantastic speeches, to tear jerking first dances, the best Hollywood writes couldn’t have written in the love that was shared this night.
From start to finish, Kaitlin and Adam’s wedding day was filled with fun, generosity and most of all love. I was so honored to capture this love story.
